The Chinese calendar is both Lunar and Solar
with the determination of the animal being based on the relationship
of the Earth to the Sun.
Each year is designated a frequency and a
corresponding animal that typifies the frequency the year will bring
along with a yin or yang element that contributes to the
description. Every frequency cycles around every 60 years, The
Chinese term for this 60 year cycle is
a Yao.
We can anticipate what will happen each year
based on the is history of what occurred 60 years ago.
Think of 2001. Sixty years earlier
America
was attacked by air over water when the Japanese attacked
Pearl Harbor.
America
again was attacked by air over water on September 11,
2001.
This year happens to be the Water Dragon.
The Dragon is an ethereal animal, so this
year will have a great deal to do with philosophical changes along
with political changes. Not only are there elections in many of the
great countries of the world, Russia, USA, France, India and
the Election of the Chief Executive in
Hong Kong, we can expect philosophical changes
in the Middle East, as there is a great deal of political turmoil to
be sorted out.
Last year, the year of the Metal Rabbit was a
year of disruption of the home, a sense if instability in the home,
whether it was in their country, state, county, city or actual home.
This for citizens of some countries it meant a radical change for
others it was a merely a change in the way they viewed their
surroundings. Some protested about their living conditions for the
first time in their lives while others suffered in silence but still
aware that their homes were not the safe haven they once were.
Many were shocked by the demonstrations of
2011. I merely observed knowing that the violence would morph to
philosophical changes this year.
This year, the Year of the Water Dragon will
bring about many changes in politics and philosophy as well as
changes in the Earth. It will not bring the end of the Earth as so
many have interpreted the Mayan calendar has predicted.
There will be Earth quakes and flooding as
the Dragon is Yang Earth like a mountain and the Water is Yang Water
like an ocean and when they meet there will be challenges. The Earth
will be disrupted by the vastness of the Yang Water and the Yang
Earth blocks Yang Water so there will be conflict between the
two.
This will be a year when the violence
subsides but not a year when the politics of 2011 calm down. People
will not give up on the thoughts of home were disrupted. They will
want to make good on the changes they considered in 2011 and this is
the year to do so.
They will be more determined than ever to
make things happen as the Dragon is strong, regal, intelligent,
dogmatic, proud, demands high standards and represents power and
duty. It will not be a year of laying around and enjoying the good
life.
It will be a year of hard work, fighting for
what you believe is right and good. A year of chivalry, a year of
looking our for the other guy even when you are in need of
help.
It will be a good year for business if the
business is willing to help others. If it is out only for the sake
of business and making money it will see a short fall in
profits.
For those looking for jobs or help from
others this year will be a good year, for people will be more likely
to help others. Look for help from the heavens as the Dragon flies
from Heaven and brings it characteristics with it to
Earth.
Water is an element of emotion so be careful
of helping too much. It could draw all your resources and leave you
with nothing.
All and All the Year of the Water Dragon
should be a good one for most people. It will bring about changes
not only in the home and business but also in the way we think about
the future, which will bring about change for years to
come.
